Auto Dealer, the Society of Motor Producers and Merchants (SMMT), and ChargeUK have launched a brand new initiative designed to fight misinformation surrounding EVs.
The group have created a set of details, providing a data-backed view of the truth of proudly owning and driving EVs.
Erin Baker, editorial director at Auto Dealer, stated: “Electrification is a big change and with change comes uncertainty and confusion and that’s why we’re making an attempt to assist share extra balanced and fact-based narratives with each retailers and shoppers to offer everybody confidence to navigate their electrical journey.
“Usually this comes all the way down to the worry of the unknown and that is clear when shoppers inform us how a lot they love their electrical automobiles.
“We’d encourage anyone unsure about electric vehicles to do their own research with unbiased, fact-based content – or better yet, why not find an electric car driver and chat to them. And if you haven’t driven one yet – do it, they are really changing the car game.”
Auto Dealer analysis from April confirmed that mistruths repeated by the media have been impacting client confidence in EVs.
Separate analysis from Auto Dealer exhibits that 46% of outlets consider a lack of client confidence in EV expertise is a big barrier to adoption.
Regardless of client and retailer nervousness, 83% of present EV house owners stated they’d purchase electrical once more.
