Lamborghini has postponed the launch of its first electrical automobile by a 12 months. The Italian supercar maker believes the market isn’t but prepared for pure electrical luxurious sports activities vehicles. The corporate had initially deliberate to debut its first EV in 2028.
Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann mentioned, “We do not think 2029 is late to have an electric car. We do not think, in our segment, the market will be ready in 2025 or 2026.”
Winkelmann added that the corporate is in no hurry to push for electrification and is ready for a clearer regulatory outlook within the European Union.
Lamborghini’s first EV will probably be primarily based on the Lanzador idea that was showcased in 2023. It will likely be a 4-seat grand tourer. Reviews recommend that it may share its underpinnings with different VW Group fashions. The electrical motors would even be sourced from Volkswagen. That being mentioned, Lamborghini will probably be creating applied sciences that can set its EVs aside from the competitors.
