Matthew Kemp, a younger technician from Malton, has been topped Volvo’s Nationwide Apprentice of the 12 months for 2024.
Kemp began as a service driver at Ray Chapman Motors Volvo Malton in 2018 and labored his manner up.
He stated: “To win Nationwide Apprentice of the 12 months similtaneously finishing my apprenticeship is an incredible feeling and one thing I’m very pleased with.
“The candidates I competed in opposition to from throughout the motoring business had been all very gifted, so it’s actually humbling and gratifying to see my arduous work recognised.
“I’ve enjoyed every minute of my apprenticeship – the Ray Chapman team are all so skilled and have been generous in sharing their time and knowledge. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow in my role and learning from the best!”
Along with the award, Kemp collected his Volvo Technician Apprenticeship Certificates of completion on the official Apprentices’ Commencement Day in Daventry.
